Estimating Affective Taste Experience Using Combined Implicit Behavioral and Neurophysiological Measures

چکیده
We trained a model to distinguish an extreme high arousal, unpleasant drink from regular drinks based on range of implicit behavioral and physiological responses naturalistic tasting. The predicted arousal ratings drinks, highlighting the possibility estimate affective experience without having rely subjective ratings.

Neurophysiological assessment of affective experience
In the field of Affective Computing the affective experience (AX) of the user during the interaction with computers is of great interest. The automatic recognition of the affective state, or emotion, of the user is one of the big challenges. In this proposal I focus on the affect recognition via physiological and neurophysiological signals. Long‐standing ev...
متن کاملNeurophysiological and Behavioral Measures of Musical Engagement
Inter-subject correlations (ISCs) of cortical responses have been shown to index audience engagement with narrative works. In parallel lines of research, continuous self-reports and physiological measures have linked listener engagement and arousal with specific musical events. Here we combine EEG-ISCs, physiological responses, and continuous self-reports to assess listener engagement and arous...
متن کاملProtective measures, personal experience, and the affective psychology of time.
We examined the role of time and affect in intentions to purchase a risk-protective measure (Studies 1 and 2) and explored participant abilities to factor time into the likelihood judgments that presumably underlie such intentions (Study 3). Participants worried more about losing their possessions and were more likely to purchase a protective measure given a longer term lease than a short-term ...
متن کاملMeasuring the Effectiveness of Explicit and Implicit Instruction through Explicit and Implicit Measures
Many studies have examined the effect of different approaches to teaching grammar including explicit and implicit instruction. However, research in this area is limited in a number of respects. One such limitation pertains to the issue of construct validity of the measures, i.e. the knowledge developed through implicit instruction has been measured through instruments which favor th...
متن کاملEditorial: Using neurophysiological signals that reflect cognitive or affective state
The central question of this Frontiers Research Topic is: What can we learn from brain and other physiological signals about an individual’s cognitive and affective state and how can we use this information? This question reflects three important issues which are addressed by the 22 articles in this volume: (1) the combination of central and peripheral neurophysiological measures; (2) the diver...
